What is Anxiety?

​

Anxiety is a natural and often helpful emotional response to stress, danger, or uncertainty. It is a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome. In everyday life, anxiety is a normal reaction to stressful situations, such as preparing for an important exam, giving a presentation, or facing a challenging life event. However, when anxiety becomes excessive, chronic, or overwhelming, it can interfere with daily functioning and may develop into an anxiety disorder.
